This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it plain and short.

Who we are

This website is run by Banga Marketing. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@bangamarketing.com.

What we collect

Enquiry form

Your full name, email address, and, if you choose to give them, your business name, phone number, country, industry, website or Instagram handle, the services you're interested in, your message and how you heard about us.

Free audit forms

Your email address, your Instagram handle or website, and optionally your first name. If you completed our social media check, we also store your score. We record whether you opted in to marketing tips and which form you used.

Automatically

Our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site securely. With your consent only, analytics cookies collect information about how you use the site (see our Cookie Policy).

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss working together. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to people who contact us) and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
• To prepare and email your free audit. Lawful basis: legitimate interests and your request.
• To send occasional marketing tips by email, only if you ticked the box. Lawful basis: consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
• To understand how the site is used through analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. Lawful basis: consent.
• To keep the site secure and prevent spam. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with service providers (processors) who help us run the business, under written agreements that require them to protect it:

• Website hosting and database provider, which stores form submissions.
• Email provider, which we use to reply to you and to send the audit and any marketing emails.
• Resend, our email delivery provider, which sends form notifications and audit confirmations.
• Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited), only if you accept analytics cookies. It records pages viewed, how you arrived and when a form is sent.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and audit data for 24 months from your last contact with us, then delete it. If you become a client, records relating to our contract are kept for as long as the law requires. If you unsubscribe from marketing, we keep a minimal record so we don't email you again.

International transfers

Our team works across the UK and Lithuania (EU), and some of our providers may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, we rely on adequacy regulations or decisions, or on safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
• have your data deleted (erasure);
• restrict how we use your data;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive your data in a portable format (portability);
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
• unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or by emailing us.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority:
